Brutus Merrill9 Whitney (Emory Stewart8, Nathaniel7, Nathaniel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Emory Stewart8 and Sarepta (Hale) Whitney, was born 9 Dec 1835, Marlboro, VT,[1] and died after 1900.
He married firstly, 1 Jan 1857, Marlboro, VT, Sylvia A. Thayer, daughter of Colonel Ezra and Thirza (Sheldon) Thayer. She was born 21 Jul 1837, and died 1 Oct 1885, Marlboro, VT.
He, of Orange, married secondly, 30 Jun 1889, Athol or Orange, MA, Nellie E. or C. Wheeler, daughter of John and Martha M. (-----) Wheeler.[2] She was born about Mar 1861, Whitingham, VT, and died after 1900.
He resided Brattleboro, VT.
