Calvin8 Whitney (Charles7, Henry6, John5, Abraham4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Charles7 and Roxana Malvina (Palmer) Whitney, was born 25 Sep 1846, East Townsend, OH, and died 6 Jun 1909, Norwalk, OH, aged 62 years 8 months 12 days, of carcinoma of rectum.[1] He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, OH.[2]

He married firstly, 5 Nov 1868, Norwalk, OH, Marian Dean,[3] daughter of Royal Cady and Mary Ann (Smith) Dean. She was born 16 Oct 1847, Irville, OH, and died 5 Nov 1901, Columbus, OH.[4] She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, OH.[5]

He married secondly, 25 Aug 1904, Norwalk, OH, Urania A. (Dean) Todd, daughter of Royal Cady and Mary Ann (Smith) Dean.[6] She was born 16 July 1854, Townsend, OH, and died 28 Dec 1935, Cleveland, OH, aged 81 years 5 months 12 days, of diabetes.[7] She had married firstly, 20 July 1873, E. Townsend, OH, Clarence E. Todd, from whom she was divorced, and by whom she had two children. She was buried in Highland Park Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.[8]

He was a wholesale dealer in hard-wood lumber. He dwelt for two years in Custar, OH; and thence moved to 44 Prospect Street, Norwalk, OH, where they were living in 1873; resided Norwalk, OH, in 1900.

iii. Idalia C. Whitney, b. 16 Oct 1880, Norwalk, OH;[12] m. 24 Aug 1904, Huron Co., OH, Amos W. Gardiner.[13]
iv. Warren C. Whitney, b. Oct 1882, Norwalk, OH; m. 25 Dec 1918, Manhattan, NY, Blanche D. Beerman;[14] of Yonkers, NY, 1920; of Denver, CO, 1930-1940.

Calvin8 and Urania A. (Dean)(Todd) Whitney had no children.
