John Whitney (John Johnson, Simon, Thomas, John), son of John Johnson and Sarah (Watkins) Whitney, was born 1821, Great Gidding, Huntingdonshire, was baptized 16 Nov 1823, Great Gidding, Huntingdonshire, and died after 1881.
He married firstly, about 1846, Fletton, Huntingdonshire, Harriett Kelly, daughter of William and Charlotte (-----) Kelly. She was born about 1823, Peterborough, Northamptonshire, and died Apr. 1862, Peterborough, Northamptonshire.
He married secondly, 1 Nov 1862, St. Mary's, Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, Mary Ann Desborough. She was born about 1830, Water Newton, Huntingdonshire.
