Oscar F.8 Whitney, (Jared7, [prob.] John6, Joshua5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), the son of Jared7 Whitney, was born 5 Sep 1825, NY, and died 10 Mar 1900, Bryan, OH.

He married, 17 Dec 1850, Allen Co., IN, Catherine Hollopeter.

Civil War soldier, enlisted 18 Jul 1861, Co. E, 11th Indiana Vol. Inf., discharged Ft. McHenry, Baltimore, MD, 26 Jul 1865.
