Nathaniel F.9 Whitney (Nathaniel B.8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Nathaniel B.8 and Susan (Edwards) Whitney, was born 26 Sep 1830, Westford, MA,[1] and died after 1920.

He married firstly, 5 Sep 1852, Sarah G. Messer, daughter of George W. and Mary E. (-----) Messer.[2] She was born about 1836, Montville or Union, ME, and died 14 Jun 1879, Lowell, MA, aged 43 years 5 months, of consumption.[3]
