William Erving9 Whitney (Samuel8, Smyrna7, Samuel6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Samuel8 and Carolina A. (Puffer) Whitney, was born 9 Aug 1855, North Reading, MA, or (as "Willie Bonaparte Whitney") Middleton, MA,[1] and died 13 Jan 1902, Boston, MA, aged 46 years 6 months, of typhoid fever, mitral regurgitation, and aortic insufficiency.[2]

He married, 5 Oct 1878, Boston, MA, Mary E. Fenn, daughter of James and Elizabeth (-----) Fenn. She was born 12 Aug 1858, Essex, CT,[3] and died after 1900.
