Susan M.8 Whitney (John Haskell7, Joseph6, Nathan5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), daughter of John Haskell7 and Clarissa (Meserve) Whitney, was born 17 Sep 1845, Whitneyville, ME, and died 26 Oct 1922, Machias, ME.
She married 10 Mar 1860, Machias, ME, James McCabe,[1] son of James and Mary (Dougherty) McCabe. He was born 09 23 1836, Pembroke, ME, and died 19 Jan 1901, Machias, ME.
James McCabe was a veteran of the Civil War, and received a pension for his service.
