Ansel Dewey8 Whitney (Zabad7, Jonathan6, Peter5, Josiah4, Josiah3, [prob.] Benjamin2, John1), son of Zabad7 and Sophia (Dewey) Whitney, was born 2 Aug 1827, Royalton, VT,[1] and died 28 Sep 1899, Tunbridge, VT, aged 72 years 1 months 26 days, of spinal.[2] He was buried in South Royalton Village Cemetery, South Royalton, VT.[3]

He married, 27 Jan 1853, Royalton, VT, Jerusha Fay Crandall,[4] daughter of Tracy and Mehitable (Lyman) Crandall. She was born 27 Sep 1831, South Royalton, VT, and died 11 May 1929. She was buried in South Royalton Village Cemetery, South Royalton, VT.[5]

He is a cabinet maker; resided Worcester, MA.
