Norman Haines Whitney (Joshua, Joshua), son of Joshua and Persis (Moore) Whitney, was born 24 Apr 1827, Bridgewater, VT, and died 24 Nov 1909, Putney, VT.

He married, 22 Feb 1871, Westminster, VT, Ellen May Farr, both of Westminster, daughter of Ivah Newton and Nancy (Danforth) Farr.^[1] She was born 25 Oct 1842, Westminster, VT, and died 16 Oct 1922, Putney, VT.
