Crosby9 Whitney (George8, Crosby7, Stephen6, Phineas5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of George8 and Maria (Rowe) Whitney, was born 26 Oct 1846, Ridott, Stephenson Co., IL, and died 30 Dec 1905, Laton, CA. He is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Hanford, CA.

He married 18 Nov 1874, Felix, Grundy Co., IA, Lucinda Ann Williams. She was born 17 Feb 1855, Liscomb, Marshall Co., IA, and died 8 Mar 1929, Fresno, CA.

He was a Civil War veteran, and received a pension from the U.S. government.
