He married, 13 Oct 1870, Olney, IL, Fannie Newsum, daughter of James B. and Eliza Jane (Slaven) Newsum. She was born 1 Jun 1852, Richland Co., IL, and died 12 Sep 1937, Alma, NE. She was buried in Alma Cemetery, Alma, NE.^[2]
