Benjamin5 Whitney (James4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of James4 and Eleanor (Robbins) Whitney, was born circa 1752 (calculated from age at death),[1] and died 19 May 1802, Tyngsborough, MA, aged 49 years.[2]

He married firstly, 1 Jul 1779, Dunstable, MA, "Mrs." Rebecca Danforth, both "of Dunstable, N.H.", daughter of Joseph and Mary (Richardson) Danforth. She was born 16 Mar 1759, Dunstable, MA, and died 12 Feb 1794, Tyngsborough, MA, in her 35th year.
