Charles Miller8 Whitney (William Henry7, Henry6, Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of William Henry7 and Fanny (Miller) Whitney, was born Jul 1819, Dummerston, VT, and died 14 Apr 1896, Langford or East Aurora, NY.
He married, 25 Oct 1847, Griffin Mills, West Falls, NY, Caroline Amelia Ranney, daughter of Joel and Julia (Letson) Ranney. She was born 16 Feb 1824, NY, and died 26 Aug 1889, Aurora, NY.
Children of Charles Miller8 and Caroline (Ranney) Whitney:
i. Catherine9 Whitney, b. ca. 1846, NY; d. after 1870, then unmarried. ii. Ida May Whitney, b. 10 Jun 1857, NY; d. between 1920 and 1930; m. 21 Nov 1883, Erie Co., NY, Seward Griffin.
