Nathaniel Whitman7 Whitney (Israel Clawson6, Darling5, Daniel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Israel Clawson6 and Phebe (Whitman) Whitney, was born 17 Jul 1818, East Woods, now Woodbury, L.I., NY, and died after 1860.
He married firstly, 17 Jul 1842, New York, NY, Mary Eliza Velsor, daughter of John W. and Mary (-----) Velsor, of Woodbury.[1] She was born about 1822, and died 28 Mar 1848, Woodbury, L.I., NY,[2] aged 25 years, where she was buried in Fountain Hill Cemetery.
He married secondly, Green Point, Brooklyn, NY, Sarah Jane Valentine, daughter of Joshua and Phebe (-----) Valentine. She died 27 Jul 1860, Woodbury, L.I., NY, where she was buried in Fountain Hill Cemetery.
