Gideon4 Whitney (Isaac3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Isaac3 and Elizabeth (Bridges) Whitney,[1] was born 29 Nov 1729, Hopkinton, MA,[2] and died 24 Jul 1752, Hopkinton, MA.[3]

Marriage intentions for him "of Hopkinton" and Hannah Norcross "of Weston" were published 25 Jan 1750/1, Weston, MA. He "of Hopkinton" married, 14 Mar 1750/1, Sudbury, MA, Hannah Norcross "of Weston", daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Shepard) Norcross. She was born 11 May 1733, Weston, MA. Marriage intentions for her and Joseph Hayden were published 26 May 1754, Hopkinton, MA. She married secondly, 24 Apr 1755, Hopkinton, MA, Joseph Hayden.

On 17 Aug 1752, Hopkinton, MA, administration of the estate of Gideon Whitney, late of Hopkinton, decd., granted to Hannah Whitney, widow, and Thomas Bigsby, yeoman, both of Hopkinton, with John Clark of Hopkinton, yeoman, and Joseph Norcross of Weston, sureties.

On 7 Sep 1752, Hopkinton, MA, his inventory was taken by John Wood, Timothy Townsend, and Thomas Pierce.

On 22 Jan 1753, Hopkinton, MA, his inventory was exhibited by Mr. Thomas Bixby, administrator.

Pierce says the following:[4]

His estate was settled in 1752-3. He owed his cousins Jason and Mark WHITNEY and sister Judith.
