Family:Whitney, Benjamin (1723-1790)

Benjamin⁵ Whitney (Daniel⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Daniel⁴ and Dorothy (Tainter) Whitney, was born 12 Apr 1723, Watertown, MA,^[1] and died before 8 Sep 1790.^[2]

Benjamin married before 15 Sep 1745, Watertown, MA Deliverance -----. She was born circa 1724 at probably Watertown, MA. She and Deliverance Cutting may be the same person, based on age, geographical proximity, and name (but no proof has yet been found).

Census

• 1791, Dummerston, Windham Co., VT: Benj^a Whitney, 1 male over 16 and 6 females. This was presumably the son, not the father, who had died before the census was taken.
• 1800, Dummerston, Windham Co., VT: Benjamin Whitney, 1 male over 45, 1 male 0-9, 1 female 26-44, 1 female 16-25, and 1 female 10-15. Again, this was the son.
