Capt. Samuel7 Whitney (Samuel6, Joseph5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Mary (Whitney) Whitney, was born 14 Jul 1781, Gilsum, NH, and died 11 Oct 1840, Chesterfield, NY.

He married firstly, 26 Nov 1801, Hope Blish.

He married secondly, 1822, Elsey Evarts. She was born 1796, and died 28 Aug 1876.
