Samuel Brown7 Whitney (William6, Elijah5, John4, William3, Joshua2, John1), born Norwich, Vermont, 28 Jan 1817; married in Boston, 4 Nov 1846, Sarah Brown; born Feb. 22, 1824; died 17 Feb 1873. When a young man he moved to Boston where he has since resided. Soon after the breaking out of the war he enlisted in the 11th Massachusetts. Battery which was attached to the 9thcorps, Gen.
