Cooley8 Whitney (Luther7, Nathaniel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), was born 18 Dec 1799, VT,[1] and died 1834, Huntsville, AL.[2]
He married, 13 Oct 1827, Morgan County, AL, Anne Martin.[3]
Cooley Whitney was first documented in Huntsville, AL, in 1822.[4] Mr. Richard Kirkland, owner of Kirkland's Dry Goods, in Huntsville, AL, graciously allowed in a deposition for Judge Green P. Rice that Cooley Whitney was "an exceptionally fine looking young man, well spoken and mannered".[5]
Cooley and Ann (Martin) Whitney had no documented children.
