Zachariah F.⁸ Whitney (John⁷, John⁶, Zachariah⁵, John⁴, Joseph³, John², John¹), son of John⁷ and Sophia (Faulkner) Whitney, was born 15 Apr 1816, Lunenburg, MA.

He married, 13 May 1841, Rindge, NH, Hepsibath Smith. She was born 24 Feb 1821.

He resided W. Rindge, NH. He was selectman in 1861-62-63.

iv.	Lauretta H. Whitney, b. 25 May 1848; d. 2 Sep 1852.
v.	John D. Whitney, b. 17 Aug 1850; m. 17 Sep 1874, Freetown, MA, Alta M. Ashley,[1] resided Parkville, Long Island, NY.
vi.	George A. Whitney, b. 10 Mar 1854; m. Allie M. Knapp.
vii.	Susan E. Whitney, b. 21 Jul 1856; d. 8 Jan 1863.
