Israel6 Whitney (Israel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Israel5 and Jemima (Robbins) Whitney,[1] was born 7 Mar 1775, Watertown, MA,[2] and died 16 Jul 1846, Needham, MA, aged 72 years.[3]

He married, 1 Jan 1799, Needham, MA, Mary Fuller.[4] She was born 16 Oct 1780 and died 18 Jan 1859.

He was postmaster for years. He resided Needham, MA.

iii. Levina Whitney, b. 11 Feb 1804, Needham, MA;[9] d. 21 Apr 1888; m.(1) 26 Mar 1844, Needham, MA, Stephen Utley "of Wilbraham";[10] m.(2) 26 Sep 1849, Jonathan S. Fuller; m.(3) 12 Nov 1851, Elisha Converse, of Palmer, MA.
iv. Ann Frances Whitney, b. 13 Apr 1808, Needham, MA;[11] d. 9 Apr 1842, Needham, MA; m. 20 Apr 1826, Lemuel Lyon. He was b. 2 Feb 1806; d. 6 Apr 1871, Yokohama, Japan; was a merchant.
