Williams⁶ Whitney (Tarball⁵, Solomon⁴, David³, Joshua², John¹), son of Tarball⁵ and Lois (Lawrence)(Hopkins) Whitney; born Huntington, Pennsylvania, 23 Apr 1802; married Hornellsville, New York, 23 Nov 1823, Louisa Allen, born Springfield, Vermont, 5 Apr 1808; died Burns, New York, 3 Sep 1886. He was a farmer and with his wife is buried in Hope Cemetery in Almond. Was member of the Baptist church. He died 3 Aug 1880; resided Almond, New York.

ii.	John Allen Whitney, born 14 Dec 1829; married Diantha Fuller.

Ch.: Emma Josephine, born Hartsville, Oct 20, 1857; married John Hartnett, Aug 1, 1880, a farmer; Fred, born Dec 13, 1865; killed Apr 3, 1891, at Vandalia, head brakeman; head end collision; buried Hornellsville cemetery; unmarried She married 2d, Dec 23, 1891, Francis M.
