Israel6 Whitney (Israel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Israel5 and Jemima (Robbins) Whitney,[1] was born 7 Mar 1774, Watertown, MA,[2] was baptized 13 Mar 1774, Watertown, MA,[3] and died 16 Jul 1846, Needham, MA, aged 72 years.[4]

He married, 1 Jan 1799, Needham, MA, Mary Fuller.[5] She was born 16 Oct 1780 and died 18 Jan 1859.

On 21 Aug 1776, Watertown, MA, Deacon Samuel Fisk of Watertown was appointed guardian of Dorothy and Israel Whitney, minors under 14, children of Israel Whitney, decd., of Watertown, and posted bond with Capt. Eliphalet Robins of Cambridge, surety.

He was postmaster for years. He resided Needham, MA.

iii. Levina Whitney, b. 11 Feb 1804, Needham, MA;[10] d. 21 Apr 1888; m.(1) 26 Mar 1844, Needham, MA, Stephen Utley "of Wilbraham";[11] m.(2) 26 Sep 1849, Jonathan S. Fuller; m.(3) 12 Nov 1851, Elisha Converse, of Palmer, MA.
iv. Ann Frances Whitney, b. 13 Apr 1808, Needham, MA;[12] d. 9 Apr 1842, Needham, MA; m. 20 Apr 1826, Lemuel Lyon. He was b. 2 Feb 1806; d. 6 Apr 1871, Yokohama, Japan; was a merchant.
