He married firstly, 8 Mar 1853, Louisa Caldwell Butler. She was born 16 Apr 1829, Cincinnati, OH, and died 19 Mar 1863, Philadelphia, PA.

He married secondly, 10 Nov 1864, New York, NY, Mary Graham Young. She was born 1 Oct 1834.

He resided Bryn Mawr, PA.
