George Washington7 Whitney (Shubael6, Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Shubael6 and Sarah (Mitchell) Whitney, was born 23 Mar 1817, Groton, CT, and died 16 Aug 1886, Chicago, IL.

He married, 28 Dec 1847, Norwalk, OH, Althea F. Beebe. She was born 14 Apr 1822, Mount Vernon, OH.
