John6 Whitney (Josiah5, John4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Josiah5 and Hannah (Turner) Whitney, was born Toronto, Canada, in 1781, and died 1864, Chipman, NS.
He married, Quebec, ----- -----. She died 1832.
He was born in Toronto, Canada, was a farmer, and during the war of 1812 served in an English company, raised in Canada. He was a devout member of the Church of England, and in politics was a Conservative. He was granted a pension from Chelsea Hospital of 6d. sterling per day. He resided Sherbrook and Chipman, NS.
