He married 21 Nov 1876, Topsham, ME, Emily A. Thompson,[2] daughter of David and Abigail (Dill) Thompson. She was born 24 Nov 1850, Topsham, ME,[3] and died 20 Jul 1944, Topsham, ME.

Joseph and Emily are both buried in the Rogers Cemetery in Topsham, ME.
