He married firstly, 9 Mar 1846, Watertown, MA, Eunice P. Bates.[3] She was born about Feb 1825, Waterville or Fairfield, ME, and died 23 Jan 1859, Watertown, MA, aged 33 years 11 months, of consumption.[4]
