John Guyan Whitney (John Seth), son of John Seth and Elinor Ann (Hunter) Whitney, born Oct 1830, Missisquoi County, Quebec, died 16 Sep 1891, Mornington Township, Perth County, ON. Another source lists his birth as 27 Aug 1835. He was buried in St. Paul's Methodist Cemetery. There is a photo of his grave marker here.

He married, second, 31 Oct 1866, Mornington Township, Perth County, ON, Rebecca Jane Coulter, daughter of John Coulter. She was born May 1848, OM, and died 9 Dec 1874, Mornington Township, Perth County, ON.
