Jason Whitney and his wife were in Alabama 1830 appearing on that census, he also served as the Executor of his Father-in-Law's will. he applied for and recieved a 2nd class land grant for 640 acres from the Republic of Texas in 1839.

Jason and Adelaide H. (Revere) Whitney had four known children:

  1. Jason W. Whitney born 1829 died 1867 married Sarah Morton 1853;
  2. Elizabeth born 1834 Married a Holloway;
  3. Samuel Edmond born 1835 married Sarah Bryant Holloway;
  4. Mary E. born 1838 died before 1860;
