Daniel Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1850, Chatham, NB, and died after 1877.
He married, before 1876, Lavinia -----. She was born say 1852, Chatham, NB, and died after 1877.
In 1876 he was an expressman living in Cambridge. In 1877 he was living at 12 So. Russell St., Boston, MA.
Children of Daniel and Lavinia (-----) Whitney:
i. Annie Whitney, b. ca. 4 Sep 1873, ME; d. 22 Dec 1874, Cambridge, MA, aged 1 year 3 months 18 days, of pneumonia.[1] ii. William Richard Whitney, b. 5 Jun 1876, Boston, MA;[2] d. 26 May 1877, Boston, MA, aged 11 months 20 days, of teething.[3]
Notes
His wife is named as "Reboiney" in William's birth record and Annie's death record, but "Lavinia" in William's death record.
Daniel Whitney above may or may not be identical with Daniel T. Whitney, b. St. John, NB, who was living in Boston 1882-1890. If they are the same, as seems likely, then his second wife was Isabella Campbell, and his parents were James and Mary (-----) Whitney.
