Ens. Joshua6 Whitney (Thomas5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Thomas5 and Elizabeth (Boardman) Whitney, was born 27 Nov 1748, and died 26 Sep 1793, Wind Gap, PA, of yellow fever.
He married Hannah Green, daughter of Ebenezer and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Green. She was born 14 Sep 1748, Wilton, CT, and died 17 Aug 1793.
Administration on the estate of Thomas Whitney, Albany, intestate, was granted to Joshua Whitney on 9 Nov 1772.[1]
He died of yellow fever on his return journey from Philadelphia, where he had been to purchase merchandise, at Wind Gap, PA. He resided Nobletown and Binghamton, NY.
