John Cody (Mary Whitney4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joseph, Jr., and Mary4 (Whitney) Cody, was born 2 Dec 1774, Hopkinton, MA,[1] and died 11 Oct 1821, Gorham, NY, at age 46.[2]

John married, 24 May 1796, Hopkinton, MA, Abigail Chamberlain, daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Mellen) Chamberlain. She was baptized 17 May 1767 [sic], Hopkinton, MA, born 29 Oct 1767 [sic], Hopkinton, MA, and died 16 Sep 1826, Newfane, NY.

i. Synthia Cody, b. 28 Mar 1797; d. 1 Aug 1798, Hopkinton, MA, aged 1 year 6 months.
