James M.6 Whitney (Jacob5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jacob5 and Hannah (Mills) Whitney, was born 9 Oct 1790, Phillips, ME, and died after 1850.
He married, Reliance (?Hinckley?). She was born about 1793, ME, and died after 1850.
He was in the war of 1812; resided Phillips, ME, and Appleton, WI.
Children of James M.6 and Reliance (?Hinckley?) Whitney:
i. Hannah7 Whitney, resided Appleton, WI. ii. Jacob Whitney, resided Phillips, ME. iii. Isaac Whitney, resided Phillips, ME. iv. James Whitney, resided Appleton, WI. v. Abram H. Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1817; m. Mary Wilber.
