Elvin Hanson Whitney born Sept 1 1849 is not this Elvin Whitney. Elvin Hanson Whitney ((1849) died in Florida Jan 6 1921 and was my great grandfather. I have the death certificate for Elvin. His father was Darling Whitney. All of our family information was wrong. All of the previous information was correct on his parentage here.
