He married, 12 Jul 1852, New York, NY, Maria A. Murphy, daughter of ----- and Margaret (Kerrigan) Murphy. She was born about 1835, NY, and died after 1910.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a sail-maker . . . . They dwelt at New York for several years; and then moved to Bridgeport, where (or in East Bridgeport, Conn.) they were living in May 1873."
