He married firstly, 17 Jul 1842, New York, NY, Mary Eliza Velsor, daughter of John W. Velsor, of Woodbury. She died 28 Mar 1848, Woodbury, L.I., NY.

He married secondly, Green Point, Brooklyn, NY, Sarah Jane Valentine, daughter of Joshua and Phebe (-----) Valentine. She died 27 Jul 1860, Woodbury, L.I., NY, where she was buried in Fountain Hill Cemetery.
