George D. Whitney (Isaac), son of Isaac and Lucy F. (Clark)(Bennett) Whitney, was born about 5 Jun 1818, Fairhaven or Rochester, MA, 22 Mar 1900, Acushnet, MA, aged 81 years 9 months 17 days, of apoplexy.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 23 May 1844, New Bedford, MA, for him "of New Bedford" and Sarah W. Jenney "of Fairhaven".[2] He married, 4 Jun 1844, Fairhaven, MA, Sarah W. Jenney, daughter of William and Clarissa (Jenney) Jenney. She was born about 20 Aug 1816, Fairhaven, MA, and died 20 Apr 1887, Acushnet, MA, aged 71 years 8 months 0 days, of general paresis.[3]
