James M.6 Whitney (Jacob5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jacob5 and Hannah (Mills) Whitney, was born 9 Oct 1790, Phillips, ME,[1] and died after 1850.

He married, Reliance (?Hinckley?). She was born about 1793, ME, and died 16 Oct 1854.

He was in the war of 1812; resided Phillips, ME, and Appleton, WI.

Children of James M.6 and Reliance (?Hinckley?) Whitney:

i. Abram Hinckley7 Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1817, Phillips, ME; m. Mary Wilber.
ii. Hannah Whitney, b. 4 Oct 1819, Phillips, ME; resided Appleton, WI.
