John Olney7 Whitney (Whitford6, Asa5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Whitford6 and Mehitabel (Hopkins) Whitney, was born about 26 May 1828, CT or RI, and died 2 Jan 1901, Putnam, CT.
He married, 30 Apr 1849, Frances Caroline Bowen, daughter of Rensselaer and Caroline (Heth) Bowen. She was born 11 Dec 1828, Killingly, CT, and died 1 May 1913, Putnam, CT.
