Frederick Henry7 Whitney (John6, Timothy5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of John6 and Silence (Holbrook) Whitney, was born circa 1816, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, and died after 1860. He was a soap and candle manufacturer.
He married, 29 Feb 1840, SC, Sarah C. Anthony, daughter of Captain J. C. Anthony.[1] She was born circa 1815, SC, and died after 1860.

i. Frederick8 Whitney, b. ca. 1841, SC; d. Jan 1860, Charleston, SC, aged 18 of consumption.[2] ii. Henry Whitney, b. ca. 1843, SC. iii. Susan Whitney, b. ca. 1845, SC.
