Stephen Sherwood8 Whitney (Ebenezer7, Moses, Ebenezer, [perhaps] Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ebenezer7 and Mary (Curtis) Whitney, was born 9 Apr 1833, ME, and died 1 Jul 1898, Waupaca, WI.
He married 27 Jan 1859, Dayton, WI, Minerva W. Gleason, daughter of Loren and Mary Gleason . She was born Mar 1858, NY, and died 1 Jul 1929, Tarpon Springs, FL.
Stephen served in Company B, 14th Regiment of Wisconsin Infantry in the Civil War. He and his widow received a pension.
