James William "Holiday" Whitney (William Wort, Ephraim Bennett, etc.), son of William Wort and Sarah Caroline (Hipshire) Whitney,[1] was born 21 Sep 1894, Squaw Valley (Holiday Ranch), Fresno, CA,[2] and died 25 Aug 1958, Modesto, Stanislaus, CA.[3]

He married firstly, about 1912, CA,[4] Inez Cooper, daughter of Robert A. and Roxanne "Roxie" Margaret (Cherry) Cooper. She was born 14 Feb 1897, CA, and died 1984, Sacramento, Sacramento, CA.

They lived in Washington, Yolo, CA, and Santa Rosa, Sonoma, CA.
