Jacob5 Whitney (David4, David3, Joshua2, John1), son of David4 and Mary (Gunn) Whitney,[1] was born 13 Apr 1750, Canaan, Connecticut,[2] and died 22 Sep 1843, Benton, Yates County, New York.[3]
He married firstly, 30 Dec 1773, New Paltz, New York, Mary Yelverton,[4] parentage unknown.[5] She was born 1754,[6] and died before 1789, date and place unknown.[7]
He marries secondly, 22 Apr 1789, New Paltz, New York, Mabel (Pardee) Smith,[8], daughter of James and Ann (Wheeler) Pardee.[9] She was born 10 Mar 1762,[10] baptized 16 May 1762, New Fairfield, Connecticut, and died after 1844.[11] She had married firstly, say 1783, Ebenezer Smith.[12]
