He married firstly, about 1789 in Killingly, CT, Olive Day, daughter of Comfort and Esther (Day) Day. She was born 3 Sep 1768, Attleborough, MA, and died about 1806, Augusta Township, Grenville County, ON.

He married secondly, about 1809/1811, Augusta Township, Grenville County, ON, Mary Glassford, daughter of Lytle and Sarah (Wragg) Glassford. She was born 10 May 1787, Williamstown, Glengarry Co., ON, and died 4 Apr 1832, Augusta Township, Grenville County, ON.

He resided in Killingly, CT, and Augusta Township, Grenville County, ON, Canada.

David Whitney moved to Granville, Washington County, NY circa 1790.
