Cyrus⁷ Whitney (Ambrose⁶, Henry⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Ambrose⁶ and Nancy (-----) Whitney, was born 24 May 1832, Chesterville, ME, and died 1 Jun 1884, Cleveland, OH, aged 52 years of consumption.^[1]

He married Marion Samantha Goodrich, daughter of John F. and Samantha (Norton) Goodrich. She was born 16 Dec 1834, VT, and died 10 Mar 1912, Cleveland, OH, aged 77 years 2 months 23 days, of carcinoma of the liver.^[2]
