Karl H.9 Whitney (Levi8, Harvey7, David6, Roswell5, David4, David3, Joshua2, John1 ), son of Levi8 and Laura A. (Dunn) Whitney,[1] was born 21 Mar 1889, Delta, IA,[2] and died 29 Mar 1976, Kirksville, MO.[3]
He married 31 Oct 1908, in Connelsville, MO,[4] Iva O. Shumate, daughter of William B. and Mary A. Shumate. She was born 24 July 1892 and died 25 Mar 1985.
They lived Keokuk Co., IA, Nolvinger, MO, and Kirksville, MO.
Karl was a farmer, coal miner, and cement pottery maker. He worked in an aircraft factory in Kansas during WWII. He and Iva managed a mobile home park north of Kirksville, MO, for a number of years.
