Dr. Harrison9 Whitney (Edward Kendall8, Freeman7, Enoch6, Moses5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Edward Kendall8 and Arvilla (Caswell) Whitney, was born 21 Oct 1858, Harrison, Maine, and died 8 Dec 1927, Portland, Maine.
He married firstly, Theresa Althea Brown, daughter of Warren Q. and Ella J. (Bartlett) Brown. She died of influenza.
He married secondly, 1919, Cora Alice Brown, daughter of Warren Q. and Ella J. (Bartlett) Brown. She was born 1886.
Dr. Whitney obtained his preliminary education at Bridgton Academy and finished in 1880. Then he attended Bates College where he graduated in 1884. Having decided his career, he entered Harvard Veterinary College where he graduated with the Doctor of Veterinary Science degree in 1887.
