I inherited the work that my aunts had started on our family tree. It was sketchy and incomplete, but essentially correct and provable. In 2006 I was able to prove Mayflower lineage through Phebe Whitney's mother, Mary Holman, for this complete line. I am now working on Jonathan Barrett's extensive Revolutionary War pension records and papers with the DAR. John Warner and John Warner, Jr. also fought and their papers are in Maine. The movement of this family from Massachusetts to frontier upper New York State in the early 1800's was a difficult and definite dividing line for resources.
