Kate Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1775, and died after 1797.
She was a negro slave of Samuel Canfield, Esq.
Children of Kate Whitney by an unknown father, possibly a Caucasian:
i. Belden Whitney, b. 28 Sep 1797 (twin), New Milford, CT; m. Ruth -----. ii. Shelden Whitney, b. 28 Sep 1797 (twin), New Milford, CT; m. 23 Feb 1834, Sharon, CT, Irena Anthony, of Kent, by Frederick Gridley.[1]
